“Prideaux and Haydon were really very close indeed, you know,” Lacon confessed. “I hadn’t realized.” He was suddenly in a great hurry to leave.

–John Le Carré’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy

I graduated in 2011 with an A.B. in English from Princeton University, where I wrote my senior thesis on literary representations of the Cambridge Spies. There is also only one degree of separation between me and Anthony Blunt. I may, one day, slip that story in between more substantive posts.

During the writing of my thesis, I used this blog as a place to organize my thoughts in an atmosphere conducive to editing, feedback, and friendly drop-ins, and I continue to welcome any comments or input at jacquelinhedeman(at)gmail(dot)com. Since that time, the focus of this blog has shifted, and will continue to shift. Hopefully, you will stick around to see what happens!
